Hong Kong International Jewelry Fair opens today with two major design competitions announced

The 41st Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, will be held for five consecutive days (April 27th to May 1st) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This morning, the award ceremonies for the 7th International Jewellery Design Awards and the 26th Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition will be held.

This year, the Trade Development Council has jointly organized the 7th International Jewelry Design Awards and the 26th Hong Kong Jewelry Design Competition with the Hong Kong Jewelry and Gem Industry Association, the Hong Kong Jewelry and Jade Manufacturers Association, the Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers Association, and the Hong Kong Diamond Association. The International Jewelry Design Award is the first to be held again after the pandemic, and the response has been very enthusiastic. It has received 80 championship level works from nine countries and regions, competing for awards such as "Champion of Champions". The judging panel for the competition is highly influential, including the chairman of the exhibition preparation committee, Ma Yongyi, as the chief judge, the honorary secretary general of the Hong Kong Diamond Association, Li Chuluo, and other members L' É COLE Representatives of the jewelry and design industry such as the Jewelry Art Institute and De Beers Group. The champion of the championship is designed by an Australian designer Nadia Neuman In the Hong Kong Jewelry Design Competition, designer Xie Jiarong won the Open Group Award and Craft Technology Award.

The 11th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gemstone and Pearl Exhibition was first unveiled on April 27th at the AsiaWorld Expo and will be held until May 1st. This year's jewelry double exhibition attracted about 4000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions.

This year's jewelry exhibition has added a "New Jewelry Designer" section to showcase the creativity and skills of young designers to global buyers. The exhibition also features 18 exhibition halls from different countries, regions, and industries, including British Jewellery & Giftware International The UK Pavilion, led by 8 local designers, brings unique jewelry pieces.

The Hong Kong Diamond Association invites pianist Lang Lang to be the honorary guest of this competition and present awards to the winners. Li Chuluo, Honorary Secretary General of the Hong Kong Diamond Association, represented the association and had exchanges and interactions with Lang Lang.
